Sloan Beer Club and Food & Ag Club are excited to host Samara Oster (MBA '22), the founder of Meli, a naturally gluten free beer! Samara will be chatting with us about the process of developing her recipe and starting up her business, and providing us with a tasting.

Meli is a naturally gluten free beer that places equal focus on delicious flavor and nourishing ingredients. Samara developed Meli during her time at Sloan, when she began working with a team of MIT-educated food scientists to create a beer entirely from quinoa - the first in the US. After three years and more than 90 formulations, Meli launched in 2024 with its first SKU, a blonde ale. Meli can now be found around Greater Boston in spots like Eataly, Shy Bird, Time Out Market, and the Boston Harbor Hotel.
